WJLA's pre-emption of Sunday @ 7pm (around 1979 or so)

In some of my old Southeast PA edition TVG's, I've noticed that the 7pm Sunday ABC offering (listed as Donny and Marie in one issue, and "Friends" (not to be confused with the '90s show of course) in another. SE PA had one Washington station, WTTG-5, in their listings, and the listings show it carrying Donny and Marie, and Friends. What would WJLA-7 have shown at 7pm Sundays that warranted a pre-emption of the ABC offering and WTTG picking it up?

When was it exactly is it in the listings? According to Wikipedia, Donny and Marie ended production in January 1979, with repeats running through May of that year. If it was after May 1979, maybe repeats of Donny and Marie were in syndication? Also, did that edition have listings for Baltimore's WJZ? If so, what did they show at 7PM?

The 1979 "Friends" was a comedy/drama about three 11 year olds growing up in California. The show only lasted two months ( March-May 1979 ).

I can think of perhaps four things WJLA could had aired Sunday nights at 7pm during this time frame...

1. The Baxters ( that drama/talk show combo )

2. Two episodes back to back of Tic Tac Dough ( WJLA was in "love" with that show )

3. Tic Tac Dough and that infamous Dick Martin comedy game show "The Cheap Show"

4. Chris Curle's People ( I seem to remember WJLA airing this around this time )

Of course I could be wrong about those pics but I do remember seeing all these shows on WJLA during the spring of 79. Just not sure if they were in that Sunday night at 7 slot.

WFAA in Dallas also pre-empted ABC's Sunday 6pm (central time) hour to air news and public affairs programming. This was in the late 70s; the show (usually Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew) aired the following Saturday afternoon.
