WJTA Glandorf/Leipsic now officially on the air.

WJTA "Holy Family Radio" at 88.9 Mhz is now on the air with Catholic programming. First air day was this past Monday(Jul 26th). No website yet, they are still busy just being on the air officially. Is airing EWTN radio's network feed with some local programing also planned.

That one I cannot answer. I can tell you though that in my car I have picked it up in the fringe area of Carey (east of Findlay...mind you in the parking lot of Our Lady of Consolation shrine) Towards Findlay the signal is great and heading south towards Lima,it didin't fade out until I got to Cridersville/Ft. Shawnee on the south end of Allen County(weather conditions were perfect that day). I venture to guess it gets up to Bowling Green. WTJA is 2000 watts from a 181 foot tower west of Leipsic. Radio-Locator.com's info is a bit inaccurate as there is no local coverage map posted and the telephone numbers refer to the now defunct "Assurance 91" in MS which previously had the WJTA call letters.

Thir is no WJTA website online yet but they presently have a Facebook page (search:Holy Family Radio)

As for Toledo they will have Annunciation Radio (WNOC at 89.7) scheduled to go on the air on the 15th of August.

It's getting up to the north side of Napoleon, I can verify that. The tower site is about 2 miles from the house I grew up in.

From the looks of the photos and the satellite dish inside the frenced area... they must be running the programming also from this tower site.

I surmised the same thing. You probably can't see it in the picture, but that white box in the window was for a computer monitor.

I visited the new station on Friday Sept. 10th. Jim Lammers is the V.P.,station manager and techie. Tom and Mary Deitering who live next door started up the station, lovely couple they are with lots of country hospitality. We talked shop all morning and Deacon Mike from WNOC Annunciation Radio was also there. Some new freinds were made. The WJTA antenna is directional pointing south to west which covers Lima,Delphos,Paulding and Defiance quite well for only a 2kw signal, yet still gets into Napoleon and Henry County to the north and a great signal into Findlay. They hope to have a website soon.

Don't go there yet, wait awhile until the URL's up and going.
(they're on Facebook in the meantime)

Here's a follow-up....the website is now under construction as the Holy Family photo and logo dons the front page with a "coming soon" message at the bottom. The blank page "404 error" is now gone so they must be strarting to work on it now.

Keep checking back from time to time at: http://wjta889.org
