Actually sometimes its a hard time getting WLOS here,
but they are simulcasted on WMYA's secondary channel.

This isn't surprising, they're on VHF and VHF signals don't do well with digital.

WJZY had better get its act together if it's going to be one of the big four.

I lost its signal Tuesday night during "Hart of Dixie" and had to watch with an antenna. I was fortunate that Greensboro's CW affiliate, which I hadn't watched in four years due to the problems I was having, had a good night that night. Not as good as WXLV, which almost never messes up, but it was watchable.

I don't know when it happened, but last night I was not seeing "Fox Charlotte" on the 10:00 newscast. Instead, everything was changed to WCCB.

I believe this started over the weekend or on Monday. The only on-air reference to "Fox Charlotte" I now see is the semi-transparent "bug" in the lower right during Fox Network programs. I even noticed the other night that my DISH Network on-screen guide for WCCB's local news programs now display as "WCCB News Rising", "WCCB News at 10", etc.

Also, the Fox Charlotte website is now WCCB and www.foxcharlotte.com now directs to www.wccbcharlotte.com

I saw "Fox Charlotte" during "The Simpsons". I was going to say that's syndicated but I could have seen it during the network version.

I think the semi-transparent "Fox Charlotte" bug in the lower right corner of the screen is the only "Fox" reference that remains on WCCB.

No, I was correct that it was in the syndicated version. It does say "Fox Charlotte" and it's opaque. The semi-transparent one appears during Fox programming and must surely be just Fox.

[/quote]No, they have a good newscast. I don't watch it except for weather but it's not like the one I saw on an ABC affiliate that no longer does news.

They will probably eventually go with CW Charlotte rather than CW-18, although WJZY is currently CW-46. But WCCB does not use Channel 18 in their branding anymore. As for WJZY, they have a full power digital signal, but they use a side mounted panel antenna that results in nulls in certain areas. They need a top mounted stick antenna to improve their signal similar to WBTV, which is more omnidirectional. But they have delayed this upgrade as they await possible reallocation of broadcast frequencies by the FCC. They may be forced to move from RF47 to a lower channel, but they do have a very tall transmitting tower in Gaston County that is also used by Kiss 95.1 and Channel 96.1 radio signals.

I am fortunate to receive a strong signal from WJZY at 100% here in Greenville, SC from 75 miles. I seldom see WCCB, and they have never added their previously planned Crowder's Mtn. translator. It will be nice to receive a major FOX O&O station, as WHNS RF21 aka FOX Carolina is rather cheesey and mediocre at best. And no HD news. Looking forward to the FOX takeover at WJZY, but concerned about the subchannels. I like Antenna TV.

I'll say this. When Channel 46 was the station that explained how DTV works after the change went into effect, it had a very good signal with the antenna I was using. I should have had that all along.

The digital signal didn't work except on Wall-E. But I didn't have the other one pointed at Charlotte.

The antenna I use now does pick up Fox 8 from the Greensboro market. It probably picks up WCCB, and I have picked up WJZY once or twice with it. Though I keep it on Fox 8 to watch "Roy's Folks" on Mondays and Wednesdays. Occasionally I try to watch Fox there, but am not always successful in getting an interference-free signal.

When you see it, it cannot be unseen. HDTV is a marvelous invention when done correctly.

Now they're alternating between "Carolinas Fox 46" (though the logo makes it look like Fox 46 Carolinas") and "WJZY 46".

Molly Grantham announced Friday on her Facebook page that the WBTV 10:00 newscast is moving back to WJZY the day of the switch to Fox, July 1. Pretty much a given that was going to happen. It will remain on WBTV till WJZY launches its own newscasts in Winter 2014. I imagine they will want to start it no later than Super Bowl Sunday. That would definitely be the perfect night to launch it.
