CLEVELAND, Ohio -- WKYC investigative reporter Tom Meyer is retiring after 42 years in Cleveland television.

"Well, the bad guys are going to be breathing a sigh of relief when they hear that The Investigator Tom Meyer is retiring!" station president and general manager Micki Byrnes wrote in an email to staffers Friday. "After 46 years in local television, Tom has decided that it's time for a change."

For Meyer, known as “The Investigator” on TV, retirement includes doing a podcast.

"Over the years he’s met a lot of interesting people and heard stories that should make terrific content for what he’s thinking of calling ‘Meyer Time,'" Byrnes said.

Prior to that Tom Meyer was at WOIO and WJW doing segments for those stations.
