I Just Heard during the 5pm eastren WLW Newscast they are using Fox News Radio Reporters. But i think they will manage to hang on to Paul Harvey for WLW. SInce WCKY is currently Airing ABC Radio News as of a couple Days Ago. i know WKRC airs Fox News Radio reports at the Bottom of the hour the past couple Months dont know if they will bounce CBS Radio News off if it hasnt already. Ill check the streams Later tonight for WCKY and WKRC.

WLW is still using the ABC sounder, and yesterday they were carrying ABC status reports about the London bombings. I wouldn't be surprised to hear WLW run reports from both ABC and Fox. Darryl Parks has mentioned on air his concerns about WLW being TOO conservative...and a couple of their hosts have definate Libertarian leanings.
______________

Cleveland's WTAM/1100 is doing the same thing, using Fox reporters for Bill Wills' AMD show, but the newscasts still use reports fed from ABC. WTAM and Akron's WHLO/640 are set to flip from ABC-I to Fox as of next month.

(An aside: the ABC-I affil will land on locally-owned N/T WNIR/100.1 in Kent-Akron, displacing CBS from the market entirely...)

I'm unsure as to Paul Harvey's status, at both WTAM and WLW. But chances are that ABC will probably stay at WCKY - this is the case with like-formatted WARF/1350 in Akron, which operates as a sister to WHLO. But WARF will be a ABC-E affil, as opposed to WNIR - nevermind that spot loads distinguish the casts...

WLW Listed on Fox News graphic

Fox News is running a news graphic with all Fox News radio stations displayed on a map of the United States. WLW is listed. It was during the Fox Report at 7:00 .
Edited by bappt on 07/25/05 02:53 AM.

I wouldn't worry too much about the gang at 'LW. They seem to know what they're doing. They've got enough horses and toys to put an objective product on the big Blaw-Knox.
