WMCA 570 & WABC 770 in the 60's . . . New York City RnR RADIO & RnR MUSIC

In NYC by the time 1050 WMGM stopped playing RnR in 1962 and 1010 WINS went All-News in 1965 it now was just 570 WMCA and 770 WABC, playing RnR in NYC, until 98.7 WOR-FM came along, if I recall correctly in 1966.
There was a BIG hit record by Len Barry called 1-2-3 in 1965 . . . it went to # 2 on The Billboard Hot 100.
Len was lead singer with The Dovells in the early 60's.

The GOOD GUYS on FABULOUS 57 could not bear it . . . when Len sang out A-B-C in the song as it was played on WMCA, you'd hear BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
This was a salute (GOOD GUY style) to 77 WABC.

It was NYC RnR radio, having fun between rival stations, it made RnR MUSIC & RnR MUSIC RADIO better than it had to be . . . the DJ's had fun, it was FUN!!!

here is Len Barry's hit . . . go ahead when you hear Len sing A-B-C, you shout out a long - BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
