WMDV-44 Full-Power Test Scheduled for Wednesday 6-9-10 at 6:00pm

WMDV-44 in Danville is planning its first full-power test on Wednesday, June 9 beginning at/around 6:00pm.

Final tuning of the transmitter is expected to take place earlier in the day. Studios have been installed on North Piney Forest Road (across from the tank museum) in Danville, and the microwave relay link is operational.

For this test, subchannel 44.1 will be used. Color bars will be up on 44.2, 44.3 and 44.4, but no programming is expected to be presented on those channels for the test.

Regular programming of WMDV-44 should commence the weekend of June 19th, pending permanent power installation at the transmitter. Of course, any reports of reception will be appreciated.

What classic TV shows will be aired on TV-44? Will "Green Acres", "Petticoat Junction" and "Bewitched" be airingon TV 44? How about "The Twilight Zone"?

I read somewhere on this board that they are going to have one sub-channel with music videos and they will be all sixties all the time. They will begin the music programming this weekend 6/19. Matt can't say anything about this because it is hush hush. He may even attempt to discredit this posting and/or remove it. If he does deny or remove this comment it will prove that this is NOT a rumor. I'll have more details later.
 
You might be correct with that. I have discussed the concept with the owners. We will see what happens.

Some Christians have a problem with "Bewitched" since it deals with witchcraft and all that.

My opinion is it's a lighthearted show and shouldn't be taken seriously, but I guess some do.
