WMGI Mix 100.7 Terre Haute, Indiana heard in Cincinnati

I am suprised I am getting this. Total Est. Distance: 178.67 miles from Cincy per Mapquest. Thats about 2 hours, 54 minutes away.

180 miles is a very much within the common distances for tropospheric ducting. Once again, Rob, this is not a big deal! These things happen fairly frequently, especially this time of year.

Check this out if you'd like a little help on how to improve your odds of hearing these:

Yup, it's tropo season! Pretty neat stuff, isn't it? I'm on the east coast, in New Jersey, and all that ocean makes for great tropospheric ducting. I regularly do 200-400 mile tropo here. It's mostly to the north, but the southwest is good too. Tip for when tropo will be good: tune a TV attached to an antenna to channels 2-6. If you see irregular reception or stations you don't usually see, chances are it's tropo time!

Enjoy DX'ing!
