WMVP AM 1000 Transmitter

This thread has been a great read! Living in MD, 1000 was always rather weak, but was important to me for a short while: late in the WLUP era they were the only station I could find airing Dr. Demento! It was just before daybreak on Sunday morning, so I'd set my timer to record the show. The "Funny Five" usually coincided with local sunrise so was pretty washed out. (It was also about that time that my dad would wake up and flip on the dimmer-controlled light in the kitchen, which totally destroyed it.) I still have those tapes...

If anyone figures out when the call letters that were saved from the building get put into the "Illinois Rock & Roll Museum on Route 66" or anywhere else on display please let me know. I'd like to take a trip out there to see which letters were saved after the cooling intake tower was knocked down.
