Remember, what you don't play, doesn't hurt you. It's what you DO play that hurts you.

I've heard that radio canard for years, and I've always found it kind of amusing.  Taken literally it means a station will do better with a list of three songs than twenty.  Or better with a list of one song than three.  For even the most popular songs there's someone who doesn't like it.  IOW, what you don't play obviously CAN hurt you once you've pared back too thin, unless you're a talk station.  BTW, this observation is NOT meant to be taken as either "yea" or "nay" on the questions of whether NCI would do better or worse by going more rhythmic and/or expanding their list.

Your right, not every single person likes a popular song, and a station that literally plays only 3 songs would do terribly in the ratings, and a station that played one song over and over would do even worse.

WNCI obviously doesn't have that problem. They play the same songs quite often, especially Kevin Rudolf, lol. The song separation on that station and most CC stations is ridiculous.

Compared to the diary PPM favors cume over AQH, and when your signal's lousy it's hard to build a decent cume.

For the record, where I said AQH I meant TSL.

Sorry for the mistake and the boring correction post.

My advise is he shouldn't "mingle" in the office so much.

still not sure what you are talking about but since this is the first time you felt like posting since 2007 it must be really good

More info please...sounds like you have some juicy stuff from "Behind the scenes". However, I hope you don't end up being some rumor-spreading poser either.
