WNEP - Nearly Half Of All Local Revenue In '09

When I sold 'BRE for three years between '04-'07, they were getting about 50% of the share across the board. So nothing has really changed. At the time, we had Dr Phil, Oprah and Ellen- solid programming. They let Ellen go, claiming 'BRE was outbid by WNEP, and thought Dr Phil wouldn't last. Oprah is gone in September. Add to the face that NBC's prime is horrible- all they have left is PA, and the demo of Wheel and Jeopardy is getting really really old and you can see why they are having problems.

Yet they must be doing something right; otherwise, both shows would not have recently signed extensions up until the year 2016. Of course, should NBC's schedule consist of weaklings, any ratings the game shows get might be moot.
