You're right...and that's the problem. No one wants to try anything remotely new because of the overriding fear of failure. If I hear one more "listen at 720am and be caller 7" giveaway I'll explode.
But isn't trying and failing the way Broadway plays, movie studios, drug companies, and oil drillers operate? Yes, there are failures but the successes more than make up for it.
Maybe if some market managers and GM's grew a pair, and tried some new things we could make radio relevant again to 18-34's. Remember, they're the future 25-54's.
