wobm beach radio on 104.1 received in center city

To be honest, I didn't try 100.5, but like you said I had no splatter on 100.7, so I would assume the frequency was silent, I had a mix of mostly WHTG and some WZXL..WOBM on 104.1 is clear again tonight like many of the Jersey Shore signals..

You also assume it was off the air.. it cou8ldve been swamped by tropo.. which is a very real thing especially right ON THE WATER!

You sure make ALOT of assumptions

Of all the translators, 100.7 hands down is the absolute worst frequency, shoehorned in from EVERY direction. Allentown, Philly translator, Hudson Valley NY, Wildwood/Cape May, Central New Jersey translator, and one Off-Air translator near Roosevelt Monmouth County. Did WJRZ ever move to 100.5 from 100.7 in downtown Toms River?

Doesn't WJRZ have a bad signal to begin with? They are caught between Z100 and WRNB in Philly and 99.9 The Hawk in Allentown. Why not have them move to 93.1 or 93.5, 95.5, or 97.7?

Just to clarify, my reference to 100.7/100.5 was regarding their translator in downtown Toms River. As for the 100.1 signal it pretty much is what it is and has been since '76(?) when WJRZ went on the air. It does reach Belmar and maybe central Monmouth at best but it couldn't really finagle too much to channel jump and if it was feasible or possible to yield an improvement, it would have been done long before now I'm guessing. As far as being adjacent to Z100, that doesn't really cause an issue until central Monmouth where their signal starts to get beaten up by them and same for WRNB as you get further away from WJRZ and closer to Philly where that becomes an issue. WODE is a non-issue being so far away. On the other hand, I know WBHX had to cap its height a couple of decades back when they were granted placement on LBI as to not interfere with WJRZ/WZBZ. It seems that over the last few years WBHX lost its LBI tower site and has been searching for a new home at much reduced power with little wiggle room. What's weird is that on their recent app filed a couple months ago its states an ERP of 650 watts yet TPO of 5800 watts (??) to continue to be co-located with WTHJ with waivers requested...

As of today, WJRZ's translator is now on 100.5 but with no interference or splatter to WHTG's translator on 100.7, nice regulated signal. WBHX 99.7 was not on the air....
