I am picking up a strong signal on 104.1 tonight simulcasting wobm, but no mention of it just 1160 and 1310 liners, not even on the TOH ID. Whats the deal, I checked, its not on RL, good to hear in the city, but is this a joke...
Oddly enough it *is* the translator for WOBM-AM. Why there wouldn't be any imaging is odd but its legit. What is also odd is the fact that the data on this link (the L2C) states 93.5 yet if you look closely it says the channel is 104.1 ... 225 watts at 472' is going to get out very well, especially an Omni one. Conditions must be ripe for that signal to propagate tonight. It seems its on the WOBM-FM tower which makes sense as they (Townsquare) might own that tower.

Don't translators just have to do a legal ID once every few hours or something like that? The main station has to be every hour as usual but I thought I heard somewhere that translators can go every few hours.
Here in Warminster PA, I always hear B-104(which is WAEB-FM, iHeart) from Allentown on 104.1, so that WOBM tx you're talking about doesn't make much sense to me.
Funny thing, last night the WOBM signal on 104.1 was battling with a another new signal on 104.1 from Marlton/Cherry Hill re broadcasting Reach Religious Radio. RL has no info on these two new-bes, so after exhausting research I finally found some info WOBM is W281CK and Reach is W281CL one letter apart. Cant wait until later on tonight to see who wins the battle....although the WOBM signal is much stronger on paper.
WOBM AM does have a translator on 104.1. I'm not sure the calls, but it gets out pretty well locally. i drive through their coverage area quite often. They come in reliably from Seaside Heights to the east and Browns Mills to the west. Totally conceivable they could reach CC Philly on a good day.
Overall this is a great music mix on this station. They have a shot to be widely listened through the Monmouth Ocean market. However, right now there is zero promotion of this frequency. Even the website only mentions 1160 & 1310 AM with no mention of 104.1.

250 watts at nearly 500 feet up will have pretty good coverage.. records show the 3 bay ERI antenna is at:
1015 Atlantic City Blvd
Bayville, NJ
Great Gold 1410 also has a signal on 100.7, thats not promoted but receivable in Seaside and most of Monmouth and parts of Ocean counties. This is the first time I witnessed two AM stations with FM translators that don't keep plugging the FM signal, not even mentioning it, when most stations do not mention the AM and keep promoting the FM..
As of last week when I was in Seaside the wjrz translator at 100.7 was OTA allowing whtg to boom in on 100.7, when they build the power increase they will wipe out everything in the seaside toms river area, including the spotty wzxl. note: wzxl is the only full powered non translator signal on 100.7 in the garden state...
