Rest of Florida WONN Flips To Fox Sports Radio; 3rd Receivable FSR Affiliate In Lakeland Area

What a waste of a frequency now (actually 3 frequency's). According to CFL Radio WONN had been a music station for nearly 75 years.
I sure hope fox sports is paying them well.

lol you think fox sports is paying? Hardly, its barter, like the music network was.

The music networks audience is 60 to dead.. sports is a tad bit younger

Not only do you save on music licensing fees but you have a good number of potential clients for Sports Talk. Adult Standards is not attractive to almost all businesses, even in Florida. You guys that are complaining should put in an offer on the station. So complain, some do.

IMHO, I called it a waste of a frequency because the OP stated that this is the 3rd receivable fox sports affiliate in the area.
So, someone tuning around can potentially hear the same programing on at least 3 frequency's (not including HD subchannels & translators).
It's bad enough here in Orlando where at certain times of the day and night you can hear fox sports radio on 5 different frequency's (this includes HD subchannels and a translator)

Oh yea, why is the title of this forum called Rest of Florisa?

Although maybe not at the same time. The Game uses FSN for filler on weekends and nights. WONN will probably be 24/7.

The article in the OP says it's the only sports station in Lakeland-Ocala.
