Would love to see a reason to the stupidity out of Emmis on this one

Okay due to the Bill Polian show airing tonight on both 1070 the Fan and Country 97.1 Hank FM at 6pm. The Indiana Hoosiers Game tonight against Penn State at 6:30pm with a pregame show of 5:30 being migrated over to 93 WIBC. Okay heres my question on this one. Why move the Hoosiers game over to WIBC cancelling 3+ hours of WIBC Programming, when they could just have Aired the Polian Show on 1070 the fan (And if you must air it on WIBC) and leave the Hoosiers on Hank FM. why can 3+ hours of WIBC Program for something that is only costing Hank FM 1 Hour tonight

I can't explain it, but I sure miss the not too distant past days when WIBC had a hard & fast rule of no sports. If they want to reduce the ratings even further, there's no better way to do it than IU sports.

The Green Bay Packers don't have a similar show, but the rest of the network programming must be carried in its' entirety at the time it's scheduled to air, period. It's the cost of having the affiliate rights. That might be the case here...if Fan and Hank want the rights, they might not have a choice in whether to carry the Polian show or not.

Prior to this year the Polian Show only aired on 97.1 hank FM while. 1070 the fan stayed with regular programing. save a time or two they flipped it from 97.1 to 1070 because of said IU Sports premption. that's why i didn't understand the reason of since its already on 2 stations. if IU needed 97.1 just leave Polian on 1070. Now i bet if the Pacers were playing Monday night. IU would have been on 97.1 and Polian wouldv'e been on 1070 Only.

Most likely there is a contractual agreement that the show must be on FM by both the Colts and the Hoosiers. Just a thought.

The Pacers are suppose to be on 93.1 WIBC. But so they could keep there weekday afternoon programing intact on MLK Day they moved the pacers game over to 1070 the fan. i thought the pacers contract called for the games to be all on 93.1 this year. so dont say its a contract thing the Polian Show has to be on an FM Station because prior to the simulcast of the show this year. it has been moved to 1070 in the past for IU Basketball games
