WPHT news: Bill O'Reilly's "The Radio Factor" show to end in early 2009

I think Live, local talk would be best. WPHT and WWDB-FM used to do all live, local Personallities. However, other then Dom Geadono and the morning show, the rest (from what I've heard seems to be sindacated.) Glen Deck, Rush, Shawn Hanity. Don't get me wrong, I like Glen Beck, and think sindecation to the masses has its pluses. But there is something to be said about the local-izzum bein' taken out of local. I posted a thing about this on the Big Jay thread over at the New Jersey board. I believe a Philly talker with all Live, local presents could survive. Not be #1, but I think people would listen to it. I don't know about billing. I understand everyone is in a crunch, sindacation is cheaper to run, etc... But I think local is missing from the talk landscape (Especially the talk landscape.) Music is catching up, with the Ryan Seacrests, Garry Outlaw's, and Opi and Anthonies of the world.
WVLT, KWKJ, and WSTW are fine examples of stations that are run with a local presents. Maybe local is still left in smaller markits (especially Windsor, Missouri.
