WPRO Gets Its Moment In The Sun, Courtesy Of Frank Caprio

On John DePetro's radio show this morning, Frank Caprio, the Democratic candidate for Rhode Island governor, is baffled about how little President Obama is supporting him in the race.

Not mincing words, Caprio tells DePetro: "He can take his endorsement and really shove it as far as I am concerned."

Needless to say, this soundbite is gaining steam. This could make Chris Young look like a one-hit wonder.

Telling the President to shove it really shows a lack of class. That's not the way to gain votes. However everybody loves a good sideshow. Radio will always benefit by having controversial subjects on the air. Chris Young wouldn't get my vote in a million years. But I would definitely listen to the train wreck that would probably take place each day.

Certain careers you should at least maintain a mature attitude and try to hold yourself to a higher standard. Politics should be one of them. If Caprio wants to be an A-hole, he should get a job on the radio where they pay well for that sort of behavior.

Don't forget John Depetro and Buddy Cianci are part of the GREAT AMERICAN PANEL on Hannity's FOX NEWS show.Although I don't think they are advertised for WPRO TALK SHOW hosts.

Yeah, like all politicians are mature...didn't our president call Kanye West a jackass? I see difference between that and Caprio telling him to shove it.

You just made to much sense. Stop doing that. You are absolutely right, but stop doing it anyway. :p

I guess I've been away from Rhode Island too long. I was greatly amused by this discussion until I figured out you were talking about Frank T. Caprio; not the author Frank S. Caprio who I would imagine could do a most interesting talk show. He could certainly offer some interesting views on why politicians do some of the things they do!

The political landscape gets a little crazy during election time. Bombarded with Candidates from all directions. I recently changed my phone number. Hardly anybody even has it. But 10 minutes ago I somehow got a call from Mike Bloomberg (Mayor of New York) asking me to vote for Linc Chafee on Tuesday. I don't want to be getting calls from Mike, Linc or anybody about political BS. No matter who gets elected things never change. It's always the same crap.

Now we've got politicians telling the president to shove it. I saw Frank Caprio on "The Today Show" this week. The guy was robotic. He couldn't answer a single question with a straight answer. Merideth Viera interviewed him and all he did was dance around every single freaking question. The whole interview sounded like one big commercial to vote for him. The video is probably online somewhere. If you can find it, you will be amused.

My favorite day this upcoming week will be Wednesday when all this stuff is finally over.

EDIT: I found the Frank Caprio interview. Here it is. Anyone who votes for this guy after watching this needs their head examined. I have never seen someone completely dodge every single question asked of him like this guy dodges questions. This is the same crap people would get from him if he were in office. No thanks!

Just saw John DePetro on a TV promo for his station. Will somebody tell him to button his collar, snug his tie. Looks like a schlep.
