WPRO sets details for Giovanni’s retirement weekend & 50th Anniversary of format

There's been some great radio over the weekend with Gio's "takeover" of the station. I wonder if any other past PRO-FM personalities will be present tomorrow. It seems that a lot of attention has been paid to Giovanni's retirement, but it would be great to hear from some other past PRO-FM talent (Tony Bristol, Tony Mascaro, Kim Zandy, David Simpson, Davey Morris, etc.)

The PRO-FM website has some good anniversary and Gio-related content, including a conversation with Wally Brine, Salty's son (and from Loren and Wally fame) in their podcasts section.

It was indeed great radio and a fitting sendoff for a very worthy successor to Salty. I tried listening to everything on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, but missed parts of it. The only former PRO-FM jocks I heard were Danny Wright (nights, late '90s), Rob Hogan (weekends/promotions, early-mid '90s/currently middays on Easy 99.1), and, of course, Kim Zandy. The only thing missing from the festivities were the names mentioned in Jacko's post. Some of those jocks work at radio stations in other markets. David Simpson works for Audacy in NYC and Hartford. Tony Bristol is at a cluster in Columbus, Ohio.
