Macon/Warner-Robins WQBZ-FM

I was listening to Sirius XM's 80s channel and the year 1984 was featured. It took me back to WRBN (mix of Top 40 and classic rock) and WQBZ-FM. I just now darted to the Wikipedia page on WQBZ-FM. So inaccurate! It played Top 40 until 1988 (not 1989 as stated). Where were the original Fort Valley studios of Z-106 (its nickname back then)? I seem to remember they were in a storefront-looking building a few steps behind a grocery store. I went there in '86 after accidentally winning a ticket to the Southern Jubilee. Wasn't it on Church Street? The station moved to the old Westgate Mall in 1988 and later to its building on US41 near Liberty Church Road.

BTW shout out to Diamondtwo. Hope he's still near PCB spinnin' tunes.
