"Yes, we need another blowhard liberal talk station instead...oh wait, they just added some shows to
the powerful WGBH and I'm pretty sure they're not conservative.."
I am also sure that none are subtitled "The Stop The Republicans Express" (Hannity with the "Stop Obama Express"), or contain suggestions that Conservatives suffer from mental disorders (Beck, Hannity, Michael Savage with "liberalism is a disease" routine), or advocate a one-party system like Rush (direct quote: "If we could just eliminate the Democrat party, we would, my friends, have a lot stronger a country".
No comparison whatsoever.
For the record, I don't like Olbermann, either. He is just Rush for the left wing.
But I have said many times, commercial talk radio is set up as the audio version of the WWF. Lots of easy heroes and villains, and dumbed-down presentations exploiting people's fears ("he's a Communist!" from the right, "he's a facist" from the left), racism ("Barack HUUUUSSSSSEEEIIIINNN Obama" from the right, successful white male hatred on the left), and other stupid stuff aimed at some of the morons who post on AOL.com.
BTW, it is all OK by me. I just can't believe that anyone finds any entertainment from all this tabloid B.S. It is all so predictable, I don't even have to listen to know what was probably said.
But hey, The National Enquirer sells a hell of a lot of papers, so what do I know?
