Heard this in the romr mill today. Might be some legitimacy to it.
If so, I'm buying more stock in satellite radio.
 
I've never heard the guy but I bet he is better than what K-Rock has now, which is NOBODY! It seems they are finally starting to staff up.

This is from FMQB.com:
"WXRK (K-Rock)/New York brings Mike Tierney in as APD/MD from the PD chair at sister CBS Radio station KUFO/Portland."

One thing I can't figure out, is why did it take so long to put some effort into this new station. I mean, four months now? Did CBS simply forget about it?

With any corporation, radio or not, hiring slows waaaaaay down in the summer. It's a little crazy it took four months to get a jock in there, but for all we know, there could be contract issues with other free-FM personalities that we didn't know about. Opie hinted that Mainelli's hands were tied with shuffling talent around because of the way certain show's contracts worked.
