Heard this one through the rumor mill today. Might be some legitimacy to it. Discuss...

Me personally? I think this decision gives NY Metro another reason to skip 92.3FM on the dial.
He's just not right for such a responsibility.
If this is true, CBS has sunk to an even lower low than their previous lowest low of all lows.
Where's Cloherty's head at?
Never thought I'd say this, but... BRING BACK KINGSTON!!!!!

Oh potato salad! Your just jealous! Have you even heard Schwenker? Personally, I think Schwenker sounds great on WRRV and I would bet he would sound good, if not better on KROCK. Only time will tell, but Schwenker I think is a good start for the total overhaul of the station.

Yea, this dude definatly sounds bitter, or jealous for that matter! Schwenker deserves the gig! Best of luck to him. Dont worry Imagingdude119. Maybe one day you'll get out of Colorado, but I guess right now its just not your time:(

I think we can all agree...

... the opinion of part-timers don't count... and Schwenker.

If he was good, there 1). would've been jobs for him in between NYC and Poughkeesie, and 2). Don't understand the referencee to potato salad. Can you elaborate on your random reference? Maybe tell us such a term originates. Otherwise I'd think you were making it up.

fyi: I wouldn't take a job at k-rock for anything less than 115.

115 is now union scale. minimum. anything less is just a retarded move.
That, and let's all be realistic. Within two years, CBS will flip WXRK again.

Honestly, I wish this guy the best of luck as NYC people will call him out on bulls**t real fast.
If he gets ratings up, I will humbly kiss his ass on the Times Square Trinitron. Only time will tell.

I'm a part timer, and I know enough to say that Schwenker will be a great edition to the lineup at KROCK.

Sure, market #1 is always tough and competitve but he's got the chops, personality, and has definitely played his part in why WRRV has been such a strong and consistent station for so long.

Be happy for the guy, and lets not resort to all this personal animosity here.

115 is NOT union scale.

If you're getting anything less, talk to your shopsteward.
2001 was 96 in Los Angeles. 101 in NY. That was '01.
Current minimum for FT aftra broadcaster on contracted station in nyc IS in the 115 range.
Apologies if I'm a few grand off.

This bitterness will come back to bite you, ImagingDude119. Concentrate on your own broadcasting career and see how far YOU can go. As for my friend Matt (yes, I do know him), I wish him nothing but the best. He'll be great at K-Rock.
