So, the big story was that Beverly Hall (former head of Atlanta schools) was in Hawaii and
had a sore throat. Gomer Pyle says, "GOOOL-EEE"

WSB, just fly Monica back home and stop trying to promo fake s#*t.

Of all the people WSB chose to fly out there, out of all their outstanding reporters, they chose Monica.

Maybe she and Beverly Hall are friends? Who knows. But still...

Hall has been avoiding the media, knowing that if she opens her mouth, she is liable to put her foot in. Granted, Cox/WSB got nothing for its efforts but I commend them for trying.Whether Hall knew or should have known about the cheating, she is accountable and the media should demand answers.

I commend them for trying, but why send Monica? Did she need a vacation? And if you got
nothing out of it, admit it, don't promo like you've discovered the secret passage to Indiana.
They got egg on their face big time.

Wow, now WXIA is getting into the mix. They sent Karyn Greer to Hawaii. Their "big scoop"
Hall has no comment.......says she knew nothing about the cheating. Just seems you could
have gotten the same comment outside a Church's Chicken in Atlanta.

some Church's Chicken. Is it really necessary to boil all and ever statement down to
racial lines? NO.

This is just the start of a trend: whenever they need to find somebody, whenever there's an amber alert or somebody wanders away from a personal care home, WSB and WXIA will start putting reporters on planes to Hawaii, Tahiti, Russia, the South Pole, China, Peru, Iraq, you name it.

After all, the person they want to find MIGHT be in any of those places. They might also be in Duluth or Athens or Macon or Canton.

But they could be on Honolulu. And golly it sure sounds dramatic.

Was this why 11-Alive used to have those news bureaus in Rome and Athens and made sure to use them every night?
