WSGA 92.3 is now 92-3 The Point: The Best of the 80's & More

Pretty much the same as Freedom.

Yeah, all this is is a name change for the station. There must have been miscommunication given or received at All Access. The article mentioned the station's old name and this new one, then stated that WSGA flipped from Classic Hits to Adult Hits, when it's been Adult Hits all along.

So now the name and the playlist pretty much copy Cox's "Point" format in Jacksonville, Tampa, and Houston.

Nice...

Yep. For all intents and purposes, it's an '80s station.

Oooo...that should be interesting...against Kidd Kraddick...who will win?

Kidd on a 100k long-established stick vs. some Charlotte upstarts on a 50k stick that points out into the marsh? You do the math.

Still has no ratings. Needs to go Silent so I can listen to chucktown's B92

They could use all the help the can get! (2.1)

I DID like B92 ALOT better when KOBE was there and had the Morning Mess.

Last time I was in SC B92 Didn't sound much different than 97.3 Kiss it even seems to sound more like 99SX.

I wouldn't call Ace & TJ "upstarts." In Savannah, yes, but they've been around in Charlotte and in syndication for some time. That having been said, I don't even think it will be a competition between them and Kidd, not even because A&TJ aren't good (never heard 'em) - one, the non-AM Drive formats are completely different. Two, as mentioned, KISS and Kidd are already well entrenched in the market.
