FM 100 Means Music said:THIS is what Jerry Petuck left 620 for? A "born to go bust" Assistant PD job he won't even have in six months?
There had to have been a behind-the-scenes fallling out with Petuck and 620, no way in hell someone leaves the security of producing the highest-rated show in the market for a job with the lowest-rated rival (1010).
Why do people always react this way? You have NO IDEA why Mr. Petuck left. Perhaps he was simply offered a better deal - which may or may not include money, hours, perks, benefits, etc?
Or perhaps he wants a new challenge? It's easy to sit back and left the ship steer itself. It's commendable to take the helm yourself though uncharted waters.
Considering the lack of success CBS has had with sports on AM 1010... and the music on 98.7 FM ever since WILD took over 94.1 FM... all Mr. Petuck needs to do is be a part of the plan and team that brings the ratings and billing up. They don't need to beat WDAE as much as they need to beat themselves.
Good luck, Mr. Petuck. Hats off to you.
