I tuned into WWLE 1170 today and heard CNN news, I thought CNN News went out of business and replaced by NBC News ?

WWLE 1170 Is Still Carrying CNN News, is this right ?

You're right! CNN ended their hourly radio newscast as of March 31st. It was replaced by NBC News Radio the following day, and it can also be heard on WGHQ, WBNR, WLNA and WHUC as well as WWLE.

Are you sure the news was current?? Perhaps WWLE still has pre- April 1 news still loaded in the computer. CNN Radio news is no longer being produced. Global replaced it with NBC news. If they are still airing three-week-old news, nobody is minding the store! That is really bad on their part, one of the worst I have heard.
I was listening on Poughkeepsie node at Globaltuners where reception isn't currenty that great so its hard to hear them, maybe i was wrong, i will listen again soon.

WWLE runs a simulcast of HLN TV (CNN Headline News) not the CNN Radio News.
Oh ok...that's what i heard...I wonder if they will stay with the news format when they go to 1150 AM ?
I heard gospel music this Sunday afternoon on WWLE, goes this go with their news format ?

What time did you hear this? Co-channel WWVA in Wheeling, West Virginia also on 1170, the reason that WWLE has to leave the air at night is a religious/ Gospel station.
I heard it around 2PM...I was tuned from Poughkeepsie so pretty sure it was WWLE...
