WWNO-FM 89.9 New Orleans has reportedly returned to the air broadcasting from the studios of Georgia Public Radio in Atlanta, using the station’s local transmitter and tower on the westbank.

According to the story,the transmitter suffered "a loss of nearly 200 feet of coax to the antenna" during Hurricane Katrina.

GM Chuck Miller reportedly approached Georgia Public Radio in Atlanta about using a radio studio and delivery of the signal via a Sat uplink to New Orleans. And they have oked it till they can get their studios up and running at UNO again.
