WXER-FM in Plymouth, WI is being sold to Midwest Communications...owners of WHBL-AM, WHBZ-FM and WWJR-FM in Sheboygan/Sheboygan Falls, WI

Seller is Fond du Lac based owner of KFIZ AM & FM

Seller retains 950 AM (500-watter) in Sheboygan Falls (ESPN Sports)

Wow, this leaves Midwest with virtually no competition in Sheboygan county.Talk about your monopolies. Anyone think their will be a format flip on the point?? Will Dave Riley be retained as morning man/ PD???
KLH the brew and the apple all post strong numbers in Sheboygan. Could a classic rock format be in the making??

Just curious,I'm not with Midwest or Mountain Dog or anything like that, but where did you get the information that WXER was sold? I can't find the story anywhere on the net. How much did the Point go for?

Re: 950 in Sheboygan

Smart move. The prople at 950 in Chicago would love for them to be off the air. I understand they have been approached by every owner of the Chicago station multiple times to be bought and shut off. Each time they call, the price goes up another $500K.
