Over at the "New York" board, I've heard that as of 5:00 PM, WFNY should bring back the WXRK calls from Cleveland back to New York City to become the new 92.3 K-Rock. Are they going to restore the former WRQX calls at 92.3 in Cleveland? Find out!

Was Jammin' 92 for a long time before the flip

WSRS-FM 1950-58
WJMO-FM 58-59
WCUY 59-71
WLYT 71-83 (formats included Top 40, Disco, AC, and Oldies)
WRQC 83-90 (formats included Modern Rock and CHR)
WJMO-FM 90-94 (format migrated from mainstream CHR to rythmic CHR)
WZJM 94-01 (rhythmic CHR, rhythmic oldies)
WXTM 01-06 (modern rock)
WXRK 06-
And for the record, the WRQX calls have been in Washington since the early 70's... originally Album Rock, later Top 40/CHR, then Hot AC.
CBS may reclaim the WXRK calls for New York but they may pick something else that conveys the "K-rock" monniker.

I know that WXRK in Cleveland is now WKRI and the calls is back in New York City. Thank goodness!!!
I'll give you these two links to see the difference between Cleveland's K-Rock and the New York's K-Rock since it was returned yesterday.

Are you here all week??!YEKIMI said:No reason to "KRI" over split call letters! ;D
