WXRS 100.5 Swainsboro to move to Portal-Statesboro?

I can't believe I didn't catch this.

So moving the stick to Statesboro, upping the watts & the HAAT in an over-country'ed area, will 100.5 change formats..and to what?

This could be a good opportunity to fill the "new rock" hole on this side of Savannah, but I doubt that would happen.

Probably a likely replacement for WMCD (100.1 FM), a station that served Statesboro and surrounding areas for a number of years before moving into the Savannah market several years ago. Maybe that's the reason behind the power boost to 50,000 watts. Any questions? Thoughts?
