Hey, Skip, did your science teacher at Reitz High School ever explain the theory regarding sound waves? "...When a tree falls in the forest and there's no one to hear it..." I believe the same can be said for 94.9 in Mt. Carmel.
Don't we have something more interesting to discuss than Withers peeing in the wind?
How's WYFX sounding?
I think it was my dad who taught science out of college (at Mizzou)....And it was all about trees in the Mark Twain National Forest in The Ozarks.... I think I had Mr. Lyons at Reitz... He was good at talking about chickens, cockroaches and jumping box cars in the Howell (L&N) Switchyards....I think it was his favorite childhood memory...
On 106.7.... They sure have holes and I wonder if Dan and his group have Mark and the TOC group on board to do what they can to get the signal up to snuff????? Major static problems across Red Bank ridge that put nulls towards Elberfeld and of course get anywhere close to the South Central tower on the east of that ridge... Henderson and the East Side seem fine in the autos.... Best of luck.. Such a niche audience that they might be able to hold off for a while, pending any possible improvements.... If TOC would allow a low pass on 106.5 (which would not cause the Washington FM any problems), it could help some in lower and middle Gibson County.... I guess time will tell???
