X106.7 will also be going "south".. [If the FCC approves this app request]

http://cdbs.recnet.net:8080/fmq.php?facid=&call=WCGX&ccode=1&latd=&lond=&city=&state=&country=US&zip=&party=&party_type=LICEN&fac_type=ALL

They have a App to move to the old Ch 6 tower on Dodridge (which I think was where the translator on 106.7 actually transmitted from before 106.7 signed on with its Westerville signal as a move in from 106.9)

Looking at coverage maps the new site would give them solid coverage over Columbus metro.. which the current NE signal suffers from issues in parts of town.

They filed for a License to Cover for their new tower site today. That have been on the air from their new site for at least ten
days now. The signal is now very good into south downtown Columbus and has excellent audio quality. Very good move for CC Columbus in my opinion, at least I'm very impressed. Any format changes? This may be a significant advantage signal wise for X106.7 in competition with CD1025 if they(106.7) decide to keep it's current format.

This was filed with the FCC today:

Now that they are on the new tower lets read comments from folks who notice a difference in the surrounding counties. And yes the campus will love it now that they have a alternative station that will be static free in the area.
