XEJP-1150 Mexico City and Standards outside the USA/Canada

http://www.elfonografo.com.mx/

This has been always been one of my favorite stations that stream, even though I don't speak a word of Spanish. The music mix is always beautiful and the low bandwidth stream doesn't really do it justice.

So I'm looking for any other good streams, preferably of actual AM/FM stations as opposed to Live365-type webcasters, of standards/Music of Your Life-type stations from outside the USA and Canada.

Chad:

Sorry the response is a bit late but I just ran into your post. I, too, have been hearing "el fonografo" since about 2004 online. Unlike you, however, I am bilingual, so I kinda do "get" what they are saying (sorry to rub it in). I love the jingles the station uses.

Another show which was somewhat in this vein was "El Grillo Cri-Cri" ("Cri Cri the Cricket"), which was a childrens' show that had been on the air since my parents were children, and still continued until at least 2001 on XEW in Mexico City. Alot of the songs played on there, while geared to youngsters, had somewhat of a 'classic/folksy' sound to them. I don't think the show airs anymore.
