XM - Sirius why get rid of channels why not just Make a bigger channel line up?

I was curious why not when they merged to just have a much bigger line up of music. I was definately thinking about getting an al lacarte special. but not now. I liked Hard Attack and Buzzsaw. I am sure many that did my Idea in the last month or 2 must be pretty pissed especially if you had a 3 year contract or lifetime one

It's all about $$$$. Bigger channel lineup cost more money.

well liquid metal (fomally know as XMLM whick stood form XM Liquid Metal) was always better then Hard Attack. Buzz Saw was good but their comming back as the Bone Yard (which was Hair Nation of XM) but they hardly played hair anyways. I approve of the change by 110%.

It's pretty simple: the whole reason for merging the services was to cut costs to try to make money. The quickest way to do that is to "merge" the duplicate channels on the services and get rid of a bunch of employees. Bandwidth is also an issue. They really don't have enough bandwidth on either service to offer all the channels of both services.

So far the new lineup doesn't bother me. I'm sorry we lost Chrome. I hope they'll get Cinemagic back up and running soon. Other than that, they haven't done much to upset me.

I did notice that the American Top 40 replays are no longer on Wednesday and Thursday nights on 7 and 8. That's going to take some getting used to. I'm just glad they've kept these repeats. Hopefully they'll stay around for a long time to come.

Re: XM - Sirius why get rid of channels why not just Make a bigger channel line

I am disappointed that they got rid of The Rhyme. I loved the old school hip hop. There isn't another station like it so it didn't have to do with duplicity. Any chance of that or something like that coming back? Does Sirius have a station similar?

They cannot make it bigger when you report a nearly $5 B charge last Friday. I don't know how much longer they can stay in business, so I am only going six months at a time.
