Yes! James Blunt Has The New Number One Song On The Hot 100

http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002114268

To the CHR radio stations ignoring it: If just a few years ago you were playing ultra fluffy/cheesy ballads by Celeine Dion, then there is no reason why you can't play a QUALITY ballad such as "You're Beautiful". Over the last couple of years you had success with Hoobastank's "The Reason", and Maroon 5's "She Will Be Loved", how is this song different?? This is no stiff as it is after all the number ONE song on the Pop charts.

If you play it, they (female listeners) will *** ;)

WKSC just added it overnights only within the past couple weeks.

WXSS won't touch it until its top 10 on the CHR/Pop chart..<P ID="signature">______________

Of course, "You're Beautiful" is not alone. In fact, I dare say Mr. Blunt got much of his inspiration from "Leave Right Now" -- a UK #1 hit from Will Young, winner of Simon Cowell's original UK Pop Idol -- as found on Will's 2003 album <a target="_blank" href=http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000D1BYW/qid=1141274208/sr=2-2/ref=sr_2_11_2/202-4558924-0732649>"Friday's Child"</a>. As Amazon.co.uk wrote, "'Leave Right Now' is pure, premium white soul-pop -- superbly written, expertly delivered, with a refrain that is as catchy as any of the disposable pop currently being consumed by the teenage masses." I bet many people are saying the same exact thing about "You're Beautiful". <a target="_blank" href=http://s37.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3ILNS4J23DUQJ28PDGK4GOZ47J>Listen for yourself</a> and tell me if I'm right.

It's a common mistake to not use punctuation in its proper form.

Well, the guy does sound like he's crying throughout the entire friggin' song - that can get kind of irritating. Then you listen to the words ("I saw your face in a crowded place" - how, like, profound and stuff) and figure out what he's crying about - a woman that's unattainable! Cry me a river, James! The way he bawls like a baby you would think the world had a disaster on its hands, or that someone close to him passed away! If he gets so dramatic and bent out of shape over something like this, perhaps he needs a little couch time. Mr. Blunt, the doctor will see you now...</P>
