Unless there's another Carver Barney in his mid-fifties and married to a woman named Sandra, the alleged "squatters" in the following breaking news story from The Bee included a jazz announcer on non-commercial KXJZ {90.9, then at 88.9} from the early 1990's until around 2003, who also had gigs on
various commercial outlets for years before that.

Carv was always a nice, very sensitive guy, always looking for some kind of angle to get ahead.....
 
Update: The Bee updated their story from Monday, with photos that confirm that the Carver Barney sought by authorities is the former KXJZ jazz announcer, who also worked at other radio stations in the 70's & 80's.
