You want good sounding radio? Then move to Austin.

This thread is funny now.

I still say Austin is the worst. When they have 2 country stations owned by the same company sounding the same. a top 40 station and hip hop station both sounding the same. Austin just has plain boring radio.

Sounds a lot like Houston. Two country, two top-40. And more Spanish language than the audience can possibly support. Two loosely defined classic rock, one tending older, the other trending more recently.

Austin - oldies for now, real rock music on KLBJ, San Antonio - real oldies / classic hits. Even Bob-FM is a step up from what we have in Houston. If all you want is top-40, hip-hop, country, really small playlist classic rock, and Spanish language, Houston radio is great.

At least Houston has a hip hop channel. Hot 957 is in my tune in app. I listen to them at the gym here. I have no Austin stations programmed in my tune in app. When I'm in my truck I just listen to K-love or Air one. After 98.9 goes away I won't even listen to them. Also Houston adds new music and it takes Austin months. I also have n gen radio programmed in my tune in app.

Great summary...not to mention, KVET and KASE sound nothing alike, and if you dont like either one of those try KOKE. I do have to be fair and say that there is one thing missing in Austin radio that Houston does have is a New Rock Alternative format like KTBZ. But on the other hand, Austin has something that Houston does not have...KROX..

Have you listened to KVET lately? If your lucky enough to even pick up KOKE I would agree you can tune to KOKE.
