Yes a Youtube Pundit is running for congress in 2020 according to this report. I wonder who will the Young Turks get as a pundit if Cenk Uygur wins a congressional seat. I know in traditional TV (Cable, OTA) and Radio whenever a broadcasting staff member is running for a political seat that person in question would have to be terminated due to conflict of interest reasons. I am not sure if it applies to Youtube pundits too though?

SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA) – Progressive political commentator and Turkish-American broadcaster Cenk Uygur is entering the race for the congressional seat formerly held by Katie Hill.

Uygur, host of “The Young Turks” program, filed paperwork Thursday signaling his intent to run for the 25th District seat held by Hill, who resigned last month amid an ethics investigation into a relationship she had with a staffer.

Walsh wasn't let go because of a conflict of interest. Equal time rules.

An equal time rule at Young Turks seems unlikely.
 
Hopefully he attempts to keep his show and his opponents demand daily equal time.

Since he has zero chance of getting the House seat, it seems foolish for him to abandon his career in an attempt to get it. One way or another, he'll have to give up his show.
