I am listening to 102.9 The Whale and I heard the song You're A Mean One, Mr Grinch which is not a classic rock holiday song. Has anyone else heard this song on the station over the past few days, or is it an error that happened?

You're putting too much effort into it..... quite a few stations will play christmas songs that arent by artists of their normal format. I do.. during our country music morning show, I'll play Elvis, concert choir or rock based christmas tunes and during our rock/pop/soul/alt afternoon sow, I'll play country christmas tunes
Not everything has to fit the format. NYC's "Z-100" (CHR/Top 40) used to play Lou Monte's "Dominick the Donkey" as part of their Christmas playlist (maybe they still do?).
Do you go all-Christmas music on Christmas Eve and day?
I actually think that song's not a bad fit as a Christmas novelty song for a classic rock station.
i agree.. its a little.. grungy in the title, so it can fit a grungy classic rock station
