South Dade Entertainment

Lets set the record straight about South Dade Radio as well as the true Pioneers of music and entertainment from the early 70's through the late 90's. The original DJ'S of the south where the SM Dj's headed by Abraham Dupree of South Maimi Dj name The Juice Tiny Head. The most noted man feared was the first south dade super system The Golden City Dj's headed by The Master Blaster!!! Who went on to be the Original Triple M Dj's, owner The Candy Man the late Norberto Morales who also owned the Bass Station 117th in Miami. That being stated the truth is this The Master Blaster and Tiny Head introduced new music, broke new artist and where involved in a major portion of Miami's early days recognition on the street move. Luke (two live crew) was the first to Bring Run D MC to Miami for a concert, The master Blaster was the Host Along With Tiny Head and the SM DJ'S. If you want the true history of south dade radio and entertainment stay tuned to my post. WMBM 1490 AM 1981 The Master Blaster hired by Robert Hall Striaght out of Miami Lakes Tech broadcasting school WLRN 91.3 , WTHM Rytnm 98 the Master Blaster Saturday show from 10am to 3pm 1986 until station closed shop on super saturday radio.

Wow haven't heard that name for a long time, "Master blaster" and as I vaguely remember, did hip hop his way around South Florida back way back in the late 70's and 80's, doing some radio and mobile DJ services!

Another name I haven't heard for a long time, Robert Hall, who I happened to know, got his start at WFUN
hired by Rounsville Radio's PD Tom Kennington back in the early 70's, mostly as an intern at first at WFUN, labeling cart's pulling and putting records away etc. and subsequently given his own over-nite airshift.

Robert, was a young black guy just getting his start in radio was molded by Tom Kennington and assistant Don Wright, had a quality on-air sound, after WFUN closed shop in January of 1976, Robert Hall floated around for awhile ended up doing talk-radio across the street from Love 94 on their AM sister station 1490 WMBM circa 1980!

What did happen to Robert Hall anyway? There's a little South Florida radio history for ya!
