Broadcast Audio Corporation

FYI, I have a full binder of documentation and schematics from a Broadcast Audio System 6-IV (Series IV). Let me know if this is of any help to anyone.

What do you have, Cory? That's the console I currently have.

I have the complete schematics for the entire board as well as the complete owners manual. Are your modules line mixers or do they have the EQ section?

They are line mixers. are you wanting to just get rid of the manual and schematics?

Hahaha, no I need those as I am in the process of restoring mine, but I'd be happy to figure out a way to duplicate them if you are interested.

Sure thing, let me work on a way to scan these in (there are about five of them and they're almost 3'x3'!). I'll also scan in the manual for good measure, there is some pertinent information in there as well as a parts list. I don't know if you've used yours before but those pres are killer!

FYI--

I worked at WCGW in the 1990s. They had a Broadcast Audio Board. I really liked it and don't recall there ever being any problems with it. It was very easy to use and had lots of features. A link to a photo taken of me standing in front of that board (around 2000) is below:

If you click the photo, it will enlarge. WCGW still may be using it for all I know.

Has anyone come across a scanned copy of a Cetec/Sparta catalog from the late 70's?
My physical copy of Catalog 101 was received by the original owner 06-Nov-1974 (he dated all of his catalogs as he received them, which is handy for me as I now own most of his collection). I have no idea if I will ever scan it, as I own many Gates, Collins and RCA catalogs which would rank much higher on a scanning priority list.

I'll be rescuing a console like that come Monday.

Dale,

Please take a look at http://www.americanradiohistory.com/Equipment_Catalogs_Master_Page.htm

and

http://www.americanradiohistory.com/RCA-Broadcast-News-Page-Range-Guide.htm

... and perhaps you would like to let me scan and return the catalogs and provide you with the high-res scans and allow me to put the compressed version on the website?

And any other catalog collectors or transmitter-site-cleaner-outers, I'd love to borrow any catalogs you might have. I can send you a UPS label and return the material scanned and unharmed.

IF you still need documentation on this console PM me. I just got some PDF docs from Dave Strode today, 11/19/2020.
