10:30 Kids Are People Too (Mitch Weissman of Broadway's "Beatlemania"

"The Tell-Tale Heart," joined in progress)

At this point, "Wonderama" was edited repeats of earlier episodes, as Bob McAllister left to host "Kids Are People Too" on ABC (named after his signature song). Bob would leave the ABC show not long after, in which he would be replaced with Michael Young.

What did WJLA air that Thursday and Saturday?

11 AM It's Academic (Eleanor Roosevelt, Carroll, and Capitol Page high schools
compete.)

I wonder what happened to Carroll and Capitol Page high schools, as I think they don't seem to exist anymore. (I'm the honorary historian of this show, and I'm interested in things like this.)

EDIT: Archbishop Carroll does still exist (they are in northeast Washington), but I don't think they have had an It's Academic team in years (probably the same for the Capitol Page school).

Journey Back to Oz (4 PM, ch. 13 and 5:30, ch. 5) was a theatrical feature Filmation made in 1964 but wasn’t released until 1974. It tanked horribly; ABC aired it in December 1976 with Bill Cosby and two children in live wraparounds.
