i think they should dump MIA all together and move evolution 93.5 to 93.9 at 100,000 watts... after all dance is what miami is all about... all the stations are now dance friendly. it wasnt like this a year ago
Not a CC station. Playlist is different. Has more old school hip hop, and new jack swing. Nothing special, might fly in Boston. Looking at the first few hours of the playlist, most of the older songs were not that big in the Miami Market.
The New York market somewhat mirrors Miami in older song selections.
Even if the musical selection is different, the concept need not. Don't you think a Rhythmic CHR, with a good number of songs from the 90s and 2000s, would do well in Miami?

As the demos age, you will see another evolution of rhythmic AC.
1st you had RAC with 70's 80's & some currents
Then 80's, 90's, very few 70's (When MIA signed on)
Now, 90's very few 80's & selected currents.
Next 90, 00' heavy recurrents, & selected currents.
I think it has taken longer for the 90's and early 00's to show up because of the perceived weak product by programmers.
With music being more disposable, it has taken longer for some of the songs in the later decades to gain traction. We are now just starting to see some 90's stations show up.
I guess when more song testing is done, you will see a more solid list of "favorites" start showing up.
