No 'Kelly & Michael' on Ch. 24 (9/2)

"Live with Kelly & Michael" wasn't on Channel 24 this morning. In its place was 2 infomercials. Did they not renew the show? Did they shift it to graveyard? Did another station pick it up?

My guess, and it is only a guess, is that due to the Labor Day holiday the station decided to run something else in its place instead of re-run an old episode.

They're not coming back, according to the Local 24 FB page:

For those wondering about the paid programming in place of Live with Kelly and Michael.

We did not renew Live with Kelly and Michael on WATN. The paid programming is only temporary until we launch our Local Memphis Live at the beginning of October.

Is "Local Memphis Live" another newscast, or is this a lifestyle/entertainment show a la "Atlanta & Company", "Show Me St. Louis", etc. It may be trying to compete with WREG's "Live at 9".

If were to hazard a guess, it would be more in the Live at 9 vein. I know that they were taking hits on the Facebook page abvabout it this morning.

They could at least find something better to fill the time with than infomercials. Better yet, they should have this program ready to start in September.
