Is IQ flipping soon?

Seems weird that I haven't heard a local news report this afternoon, IQ's website removed Michelle Murillo and Mike Murillo's picture. Could IQ be flipping this week?

Maybe. If that's a the case, I doubt the shows that are on the station will find new radio homes for Philly, expect for Levin who's on 990.

Mike Murillo has already started a better job (here in D.C., at WTOP); on Twitter, he's now officially @MikeMurilloWTOP.

Also, from what I gathered earlier, IQ would flip only upon the closing of the sale; of course, that still may happen soon.

If they do flip and go HD, it would be nice for Standards to be added to their HD-2, if they decide to go that way. WKVP already has Classical on their HD-2, so they might go for a format hole. With 380w of HD-2 power and the position of their antenna/xmtr, they would have great HD-2 coverage. Do they run any Standards formats on their other signals throughout the country??

I'm pretty sure they're running WWFM from Mercer County College on WKVP HD2 in Cherry Hill. Maybe WWFM will get on 106.9's HD2 once the new owners add it.

Will the new owners move the Xmtr, there was talk about them relocating to Liberty One and some even speculated that they were there. The real truth is they never moved from their four bay site on Mt. Ephriam Avenue, I pass their antenna every day from Philly and there has never been any work on the four bay or anything at the base of the tower. It has not been touched since Camping did anything to it, if he ever did :).

I believe Merlin put a backup at One Liberty under 'MMR for WWIQ. If the plan was to make this the primary transmitter, they would need a power increase there. Their transmitter in Camden comes in very well out here in Chester County. Not sure if WKDN ever had a backup.

Wouldn't they also have to go directional from the Liberty Location, I would think they could not be above 10kw. Their current location is ideal, and I would not relocate, if they would just do some much needed maintenance on their transmitter. They penetrate CC buildings with ease and they sweep the full Trenton, Philadelphia, Wilmington corridor and hit the shore, its a great signal, for the right company and format.
