Lubbock Ratings - Wow 107.7!

Hey everyone. This is my new username. I used to be known as "EggsOverEasy." I've been on this site since my senior year in high school. I figured since I'm grown up and in the real world now, I should probably ditch the "Eggs" name and pick a name that sounds a little more professional and mature .

Anyway, I have not seen a discussion regarding the ratings, so here they are: http://ratings.****************/cgi-bin/rol.exe/arb263

Very impressed with 107.7's numbers. Looks like it took quite a bite out of 98.1. KLBB has quickly sky rocketed to 2nd place. Right behind KLLL!

Any other thoughts?

LOL as for the username you can change it now in your profile, it's called"display name".

However I was pretty well locked out of my account and had to fight a little to reset my password when the sight flipped to the new layout, so yeah I understand if a few people will just launch new accounts now.

with not one but NOW 2 stations comming at you from both ends of the Classic Hits and Oldies formats, IF you are 98.1 you might hear someone will a bullhorn saying "Come out with your hands up! we've got you SURROUNDED"! comming from the street. now that they have been Soundly beaten, how long does townsquare stay with classic hits on 98.1? and now, FMX has been targeted next with another station at ramar. it is making radio here a little more interesting, don't cha think?

No surprise with 107.7. This was expected by most of us, but I do think this is the first time we actually have numbers to look at for them.

Meanwhile, Townsquare manages slight improvement overall while the downward spiral continues at Wilks.

RAMAR is certainly shaking things up with new additions in the market, which I think is a good thing, but 107.7 aside, they've not really improved much. I predict 104.3 will see improved numbers this Fall- I call it the "Kingsbury Effect".

104.3 seems to always do better during the football season (makes sense).

Question about 97.3. Do you think they have ever thought about shifting their format towards a "90s, 2k, today" format? I see more and more of these "80s, 90s, and now" variety stations dropping their 80's music and focusing more on the 90s. I know 102.9 in Dallas did as well as 103.7.

Yes FM seems to be one of the few that still has a heavy rotation of 80s music.
