Greg Strassell Gone...104.1 Up For Grabs?

Last year, WROR did not go wall-to-wall Christmas like they did in the past. I think they sprinkled in some holiday songs, but I believe it was Magic 106.7 that eventually went all-Christmas only about a week or two ahead of the holiday.

As for Mix, it's possible that they may fall more in line with the format that most hot ACs are playing. Right now, it seems that they are a bit more current-heavy and leans more modern-AC with its playing of poppier alternative tracks. But I wouldn't be surprised if they end up dumping the brand and going with something else altogether (see: WODS, WBCN).

Jacko

Don't know if 104.1 would go all Christmas--last year it was just WROR wasn't it? WODS had gone CHR June of last yr I believe and
ROR had Christmas to itself. I don't know if WBMX would follow suit to ROR. As you say maybe it's 50-50, but do stations like
Mix tend to go Christmas or is it more like oldies/classic hits stations...?

Are you all aware of that their Program Director Steve Salhany and their Assistant Program Director Mike Mullaney are still listed as being there? And correct me if I'm wrong, isn't Mike Thomas from (98.5 The Sports Hub) the Operation Manager for all Boston CBS FM Radio Stations?
Since they're all still here, I don't think nothing will happen with (MIX 104.1)
As I said yesterday, for me, they are alright. Not bad at all

Sal's been the place-holder PD. His home base is still Hartford where he's the OM for the cluster.

To the earlier poster who said mix is the only female leaning station in the cluster, you're forgetting AMP.

Boston Country? I should have never have left Pittsburgh. People on the thread there are saying how much they hate religious broadcasters. I second Free Form BCN on 104.1

While both Greg Strassell and Cadillac Jack are both geniuses of sorts considering what they've been able to do with a great many stations, they've also done harm by eliminating stations for us aging baby boomers who can't tolerate 'ROR's classic hits or 'ZLX's classic rock. If Mix ever has to disappear (fat chance, right?), then move crAMP to 104.1, and restore Oldies to 103.3, with music from the 50s-70s. Better: keep Mix, ditch crAMP.

I never really thought of them being female targeted but more youth targeted instead. If Mix were to go away, I think that those listeners would flock to Kiss 108 instead.

I'd rather see The Cove on 104.1, if anything. I find the current 104.1 unlistenable. Simply awful.
