I just checked out the Activist San Diego website, provided by David Eduardo. Wow, they really are "activists." No war in Syria, save the whales, etc. I'm sure Pacifica would love to provide them with programming if Pacifica doesn't go bankrupt.
Well, congrats to them for finding an FM frequency in what may be the most crowded radio market anywhere, San Diego, Market #17, just south of Market #2 and on the border with one of Mexico's top 10 markets. I just wonder if any of the "activists" who live in San Diego will be able to hear the station, especially folks who live near the coast, La Jolla, University District, Del Mar, etc. The transmitter, according to Radio-Locator, is on a tower nearly 2400 feet above average terrain. But with only 360 watts, I wonder if it will be heard by its target audience from 35 miles away.
