2:OOpm at 95.7 the FOX

It's 2:00pm at the FOX and that means one thing,'Turn the page' by Bob Seger. Come on FOX,your playlist is as old and predictable as Pat Hill's play calling.

I agree! Their playlist is real limited. I hear the same songs over and over. They need to expand their library! They ought to take some lessons from the 104.1 Hawk!

Turn The Page, I love that song, and the Metallica remake as well, well there are other options to spend your day, internet radio, KYNO, KIOO, KKBZ, KJWL, and KDJK.

Yeah its a good song. How much more of it can you hear? But there are other tracks too that are good by Bob Seger. A lot of artists have good songs other than the same song over and over again. For example:

Walk This Way by Aerosmith
Taking Care of Business by BTO
Seperate Ways by Journey
Feeling Like Making Love by Bad Company
Turn The Page by Bob Seger
Give Me all your Lovin' by ZZ Top

There are other songs other than these by these groups that the FOX can play!

Two of those frequencies you cannot get in Fresno and music on the AM side doesn't work for me.

Oh,trust me with XM and 1357 songs loaded on my iPOD I've got my car covered. At home I stream XM as well and also other internet stations. I listen to local radio only from 5am-10am (Bob & Tom),I heard 'Turn the page' before I could hit my AUX IN button on the patio radio.

Some UFO would be nice, how about 'Kings and queens' from Aerosmith? 'City of the Angels' from Journey? Their are a s**t load of songs to choose from but the PD/MD feel like they have to insult our intelligence and play the same "OLD" 100 songs on a time schedule. Another reason could be that you have some 20-30 yr old programming a classic rock station that has no clue that their are more than 100 songs to play. I bet we have a few old farts on here that could program the FOX or the other two classic rock stations and increase their ratings. IMO, if the rumor of B&T getting pulled from 95.7 is true, the clock is ticking on the FOX because as stated in another thread,I know a lot of people that tune into the FOX for B&T then turn to either KKBZ,KIOO or another source for their music. What did it for me was a couple of years ago when 95.7 , 99.7 & 105.1 played the same song at the same time ,with about a 10 second difference between the 3.

Well, first of all every station has there fair share of over played songs, just different songs, KIOO is the same way, and BTW 99.7 is 24/7 at home in Clovis, antenna 25 feet , too bad they couldn't swap frequencies with sister station 104.9 that has a good signal in Fresno when driving, 103.9 is tricky but on deliveries it works in areas in north Fresno.
Of course at home I internet steam local and distance stations and podcasts or play my personal library, no burn outs there.

Right now I'm listening to a classic Casey Kasem AT 40 from September 28, 1981 on a recorded delay on my DVD recorder from WMLX 103.3 from Lima Ohio.

Also B&T is leaving the Fox, like Rush and Sean, CC is taking it away and will end up on either 103.7 or 102.7 at the end of the year.

IF the B&T rumor is true, then the FOX is on the clock.Like I said before, their are people that listen to B&T then turn to 99.7 and 105.1 for music and which ever CC station gets B&T and if they do any kind of rock format,IMO they will be the station to beat in this race. The FOX will need to greatly expand the playlist or flip to a different format like Jack or 60's 70's 80's format. And you are correct about each station having overplayed songs, but the FOX takes it to a whole new level. As for KIOO 99.7,living in Kingsburg, when I do listen to local radio it is 99.7 and I'm able to get them thru out the Fresno/Clovis metro area.I've heard songs on 99.7 that KKDJ used to play and that the FOX and Blaze probably don't know exist (Honeymoon Suite-Feel it again;Bad Company-How about that)

I think sister station KFRR 104.1 is more of a problem with repeats than The Fox, KFRR plays there limited currents (Alt only) too much and when they play an older song it's usually the 5 grunge Seattle groups or the 2 or 3 RHCP songs they play and Green Day, also they play that song "Ball and Chain" every single day, they should have added KRZR,s library old and newer making them a complete ROCK station.

My comments don't reflect the staff/DJ's of Wilks broadcasting, I know they have to program and play what the Corps says to play, and this also goes for The Blaze, CC, Peak/Cumulus, or anybody else.

I thought that was a no brainer after KRZR flipped. KFRR did try to go active rock with the "1041 it just rocks" it was in 07, 8, or 9. I don't remember it well because I was living in Bakersfield at the time, but I do remember AC/DC being played.

I sure wish they would, the Alt genre gets really thin at times. I loved a lot of it last year, but not currently. What was great about KRZR in the late 90's to me anyway was that they played everything.
